Filter media Waterco Eco Pure

The filter media Waterco Eco Pure is made of recycled glass bags 20kg. It is ecological and a perfect alternative to sand. In addition, it offers finer filtration than sand.

While other filtration materials can contain many contaminants, Waterco's filtration glass is chemically inert. It therefore guarantees greater purity. Due to the high purity, backwashing is significantly reduced before the filter is put into service. So the filtering is enabled faster.

Recycled filter glass material

The raw material used comes directly from the recycling of household waste and consists entirely of recycled glass. It is ecological because we can avoid natural resources that are otherwise used. There is an essential difference here AFM filter glass which is an activated type of crushed and recycled filter glass.

Efficient filter glass

It removes 30% more materials and contaminants than sand. This saves washing water and residual water, as well as costs for heating and chemical treatment.

Clean

It is less sensitive to biofuels. Heat-treated surfaces are smooth and require less corrective action and fewer chemical treatments to remove contaminants.

Economic material for the filter

20% less material is needed to fill the same filter. This is because glass is less dense than sand. The density can vary from supplier to supplier, depending on the origin of the sand.

Durability filter material

Our filter material has followed a specific heat treatment process to degrade more slowly and therefore last longer. Waterco Eco Pure glass beads were developed by Waterco.

Filtration in depth

Glass is a filter material that works according to the principle of “deep filtration”. Impurities pass through the filter bed and become trapped in small spaces between the particles of the filter media, allowing the filtered water to pass through the filter bed.
