The vortex principle

The tilted pump motor of the Vortex robot and this suction method (from bottom to back instead of bottom to top), the Zodiac product engineers created the first swimming pool robot with a cyclonic suction force. The technology in the Vortex swimming pool robot ensures a particularly powerful suction and turbulence in the filter basket. This keeps the dirt spinning better and does not clog the filter. The robot keeps one constant and high suction power.

Filter types of baskets Zodiac

Vortex robot filter basket fineness of 60µ (fine filter) – 100µ – 200µ (coarse filter). You can use the coarse filter as a spring filter. Once the largest dirt particles are out of the pool, you can use the fine filter basket of 60µ.

Suitable for Zodiac Vortex 2 – 3.2 – 4
As well as the Vortex 3 4WD, the Vortex 4 4WD, the Vortex RV5400-5480iQ-5500

The new Alpha series from Zodiac, more specifically the RA6300iQ-RA6500iQ-RA6700iQ also use the same filters, but they are now equipped with a 60µ filter as standard.

Attention!

• not suitable for the Vortex 1 you need a smaller filter for this
• the filter is delivered WITHOUT the lid - only the basket
