Pocket pH ORP meter and T°C for pool water analysis
The Hannah pocket pH ORP and T°C meter, and the pocket meter series in general, are water resistant testers for pH/ORP (chlorine) /°C with replaceable electrode.
The ONLY tester in the world for monitoring pH and Chlorine Concentration (ORP) without powders or droplets.
The advantages of a Pocket ph meter
- DIRECT readout
- AUTOMATIC CALIBRATION
- REPLACEABLE ELECTRODE
- CHEAPER than most photometers!
- MORE ACCURATE than test strips and test kits
- NO fumbling with powders and drops
- WATERPROOF, the device falls into the water, don't panic, it is water resistant
With this ORP (Ooxidation Reducation Ppotential) value you can check the chlorine content. High ORP value is good oxidizing power = good disinfecting power (A table is included). Quick and easy.
Characteristics:
- Display of pH, temperature or chlorine
- Battery capacity indication
- Stability indication during the measurement
- HOLD key
- Replaceable pH electrode
- Fixed probe for temperature and ORP
- Automatic temperature compensation
- Automatic 2 point calibration and buffer recognition
Which ORP value should you measure?
The ORP value of your swimming pool water is best between 675mV and 850mV. You can read the effective concentration of chlorine from a table and it depends on the pH value of your swimming pool water.
Question
Bernard Ruys –
Is there such a device that also measures the copper content in the water?

Question

Dear Bernard,
I do not think so. I have always measured copper with a test kit.
If you wish, send me an email and I will make a quote: [email protected]

Question
jeffrey compernolle –
Does it measure total chlorine (free chlorine + combined chlorine)?

Swimming pool specialist Lode T Kindt –
Dear Jeffrey, this meter measures an mv value = ORP value. you can derive the total chlorine value from the graph in the manual. However, this is not accurate.
You can do better for an accurate chlorine value determination a photometer to use.

Lode

Question
patick amp –
Does this device need to be calibrated? How and how often?
At 'accuracy' is 0.01, what do you mean: 1% or 0.01pH, 0.01mV, 0.01°C or ? Best regards

Swimming pool specialist John Pattyn –
Dear Patrick, you can always calibrate this device yourself with calibration fluid. It has a calibration function that first asks for pH 7 and then pH 4. You can purchase these calibration fluids in our online shop. Mvg, Jochen

Question
Luc Schoonjans –
Luc Schoonjans
Hello, I have an automatic dosing system.
My Ph is 7.2 and the Cl 0.5. The alka is 115
However, it is very difficult for me to raise the CL, how can it be increased?
The redox is set to the maximum 800 mv
It seems that the ideal value for CL should be between 0.8 and 1.5
Is this correct?
The display shows 830 but when I measure with the Scuba the result is = 0.5 for the Cl
So I don't understand that
How do I solve this?
Is anyone available please
Luc Schoonjans

Dear Luc, in all the hustle and bustle we cannot always respond to all emails, chats and requests in time. Since this is a specific and technical question, it might be best to contact a colleague who is more technically informed by e-mail: [email protected]. Mvg, Jochen – Shop manager Aquatechno
