Fast-acting chlorine granulate

Fast-acting chlorine granules in buckets of 5 kg, for disinfecting swimming pool water. Green swimming pool water can be cleared immediately with this product by dosing these chlorine shock granules. This chlorine in granules is the best alternative for liquid chlorine if you want to add the product manually.

How do I use the chlorine granulate?

Always check the pH value of the swimming pool water first (guide value is 7.2 – 7.3). After all, chlorine does not work well if the pH value is too high or too low.

As soon as the pH value is correct, you can add the chlorine granules as SHOCK. For this it is best to dissolve the product in a bucket of (warm) water and then distribute it evenly over the pool water surface. Always add the chlorine granules to the water and do not pour the water on the granules. Also try to do this action out of the wind, the chlorine powder can sometimes dust a bit.

• The dosage for green or cloudy swimming pool water is 120 – 160gr / 10m³ pool water
• The bucket contains a measuring cup of 40g - so 3 to 4 measuring cups per 10000L of water

The exact dosage may differ, depending on the temperature of your swimming pool water and the pollution present.

For a constantly correct chlorine value and disinfection of the swimming pool water, it is best to use the tablet form. The chlorine tablets 200g can be used in the skimmer or via a chlorine dispenser.

Attention! You may only use the swimming pool again when the chlorine value is lower than 2ppm. You can measure the chlorine value with our test strips or with one pocket free chlorine photometer.

How do I prevent overstabilization when using chlorine granulate?

With the chlorine granulate based on sodium dichloroisocyanurate you run the risk of overstabilizing the pool water. This means that the concentration of cyanuric acid is above 70ppm - this will block the action of your chlorine. Learn more about overstabilization here.

If you use the default chlorine tablets of 200g use, you also add stabilizer. If the water is green or cloudy, for example, and you add chlorine granules as a shock, this will provide even more cyanuric acid stabiliser. You can lower the concentration by diluting (leave water and add fresh water) or by HTH chlorine granulate to be used without stabilizer. Also an automatic water treatment with liquid chlorine is a solution to not add a stabilizer to the pool water.

Chlorine granules can irritate the eyes and respiratory tract. This pool chlorine is very toxic to living organisms. Never mix this powdered chlorine product with acid. Chlorine in combination with acid forms a poisonous gas.
