How can I measure chlorine tablets in the pool?

Are chlorine tablets harmful to my filter installation?

With chlorine tablets you have to be careful. With stagnant swimming pool water, the chlorine concentration around the tablet will become much too high. This very strong chlorine - water solution is very corrosive and "eats" everything to pieces.

This stagnant chlorine water affects the skimmer basket (Here you can buy new ones 😉 --> skimmer baskets) but also the sand filter, the filter pump, seals and pipes.

Can chlorine tablets damage the pool liner?

Chlorine in tablet form can damage the PVC liner in 2 ways:
