AQT High bed filter

AQT premium quality high bed filter. Laminated polyester filter with transparent lid, manhole, sight glass, vent valve and pressure gauge. Suitable for (semi) public swimming pools, for example at wellness centers or hotel swimming pools. This high bed filter can be used with a Vlarem swimming pool installation.

Properties of the high bed filter

• Glass fiber reinforced laminated polyester filter with 1m high sand bed
• Transparent filter cover with a large diameter of 47 cm and a removable manhole filter of 25 cm around it filter glass or filter sand easy and quick to replace
• Sight glass on the side to inspect the filter sand during the backwash
• In the lid there is a vent and a pressure gauge integrated
• Including high-quality Praher 6-way valve
• Recommended pressure in the sand filter is 2 bar, the semi-high bed filter was tested at a pressure of 4 bar
• Handy 3-part PVC connectors for direct connection of, for example, a besgo automatic flushing valve
• Drain at the bottom of the sand filter before emptying it in the winter
• 100% tested - 10 year warranty on the tank - 2 year warranty on the 6-way valve.

Filling this pool sand filter

This high bed filter but also our others pool sand filters fill with either AFM filter glass or with filter sand. It is the advantage of a high bed filter 1m high sand bed. This ensures much better physical filtration of the pool water. The higher this sand bed is, the purer and clearer the pool water will be in the pool. A high bed filter with a sand bed height of 1m is mandatory for this VLAREM installations.

This means that you can work with different finenesses in this filter. So you can click on the star at the bottom filter pebble use on it fine filter sand. With AFM filter glass the same method, at the bottom grade III above grade I AFM Filter glass. The advantage of filter GLASS, is that you have to put less of it in the filter. Moreover, you no longer (or much less) have to replace this filter material.

Calculation example filling AQT high bed filter

Filter with diameter 650mm :

• 570 kg of sand
  • 100 kg 0.8 – 1.6 mm filter sand
  •  470 kg 0.4 - 0.6 mm filter sand
• or 450 kg filter glass
  • 75 kg AFM grade III
  • 380 kg AFM grade I

We recommend the following flow rates for the sand filters:

• 650mm for a flow rate of 16.5m³/h for swimming pools up to 45m³
• 820mm for a flow rate of 25m³/h for swimming pools up to 75m³
• 950mm for a flow rate of 35m³/h for swimming pools up to 90m³
